Ouray, Colorado

 

We arrived in Ouray just after sunset and in time for supper. Then we headed to find our hotel for the night. We knew we wanted to stay at least one night here to have more time to see the town of Ouray itself.

We got every one settled in bed and ready for an early start the next day. We knew we wanted to see the mountains around Ouray at sunrise!

 We were up before the sun and headed just outside Ouray to Mt. Sneffels, one of the highest peaks in the area! It was breathtaking!

 

Brent was working hard to capture the best light while photographing in thigh deep snow!

We loved our "detour" to Ouray and the surrounding mountains! So glad we took the time to see where the Million Dollar Highway led! Now I think our goal is to see Ouray in all 4 seasons!
