Day 10: Ouray, Colorado to Bisti Badlands, New Mexico

 We reluctantly left Ouray (would love to live there one day) to continue on our journey. We headed south out of Ouray toward Silverton, Colorado.

We traveled by some of the old mines and stopped to learn a little more about the history there.

 

We found some more beautiful mountain vistas on our way through the mountains.

As we arrived in the small town of Silverton, we were all hungry! Along the main street we found a small cafe' called "Mattie and Maud's." We decided to give it a try and we tried most of the menu, I think.  Brent and part of the girls had tacos, the others and I had breakfast and we all had the best homemade fry bread that we had ever tasted! We were so very full and so very glad we stopped by this cafe'.

This sweet and smiling girl was happy and full and ready to head into New Mexico!
