We are on the way!

 We drove into Fairfield last night to find about 4 inches of snow on the ground. It was beautiful to see but we are so excited about what we will see in our western road trip that we didn't even take time to play in the snow this morning!
We got the girls up and gathered all the gear and we are on the road.
Our plan for day one of our trip is to travel Interstate 81/64 to Interstate 64. We will travel all the way through West Virginia and then through Kentucky with plans to spend the night in Louisville, Kentucky tonight.


Our plan is to go through St. Louis on our way to Denver and go north and south from Colorado to see the western part of our country. Brent and I were talking as we left about how we are excited for the girls for all they are going to get to see of our country at their ages! We are excited for ourselves as we have flown over a lot of these sites but never personally been yet ourselves. He and I have never been across the Mississippi River on land, but we will, Lord willing, by the end of the week.
It has been a very rough few months in our family and we are very thankful for an opportunity to travel for a little bit to refresh, plan, seek God's will for our family in 2017 and see some of God's beautiful creation!
